Halloween... All Souls Day... All Saints Day...I don't even know which is which anymore. Filipino mixed with American, or Pagan culture perhaps had this country mixed up from the beginning.

Anyways...as life always is for me, uneventful. Stayed at home, watched some movies, surfed the net, and the usual...slept.

But these days, tears were shed alright, but not for the dead. I was reminded of the differences between people that I will unavoidably be experiencing as long as I am alive...not sure about the afterlife though. Otherwise the RIP would have been for naught.

As vain of a person I am, I asked someone dear to me not to go to a gathering of her peers as it was a holiday. I am confident that nothing of note will be happening...at least that is what I think. Humans always have room for anything.

Had she told me she would not go because I told her not to, I would have taken back my request immediately and said she can go. Or...told her not to go now, but she can go for the rest of their social gatherings. Or...to go now but not on all others...

In any case, bottom line is, would she honor my requests...not sure if it is a big thing or not...morally correct or not....I don't really wanna know.
